This Privacy Policy explains how Island Jumps (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile game and when you visit this website at https://island-jumps.web.app/.
1. Who we are
Island Jumps is a casual arcade game developed and published by the App owner. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at: vladislav.shevchuck@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
Island Jumps does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or other information you enter into the App.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Best score — your highest score is saved on your device so you can see your personal record between sessions.
This data is stored using on-device local storage (Hive) and is not transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the App removes this locally stored data from your device.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Island Jumps displays interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. Ads may appear after certain in-game events, such as every second game over and when you reach a score of 30 points in a run.
When an ad is shown, Google AdMob and its partners may collect and process information from your device, which may include:
- device identifiers (such as advertising ID / IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android);
- IP address;
- device type, operating system, and language settings;
- approximate location derived from IP address;
- ad interaction data (for example, whether an ad was viewed or clicked);
- diagnostic and performance data related to ad delivery.
This information is used to deliver, measure, and improve advertising, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not receive your name, email, or other direct contact details from AdMob through normal ad delivery.
For more information about how Google uses data in advertising, see:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- AdMob & user data
You can limit personalized advertising through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Ads are disabled in debug builds of the App. In release builds, ads may still be shown even if personalization is limited, but they may be less relevant.
4. Information we do not collect directly
The App itself does not:
- require registration or login;
- use separate analytics or crash-reporting services beyond what AdMob may collect for ad delivery;
- access the camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, or precise GPS location;
- collect payment information (the App is free to play).
5. This website (Firebase Hosting)
This Privacy Policy page is hosted on Firebase Hosting provided by Google. When you visit this website, Google may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and access time in server logs for security, reliability, and service operation.
This page is a static document and does not use cookies or tracking scripts added by us. For more information about how Google processes data, see the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy Information.
6. App stores and platform services
If you download Island Jumps from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform, that platform may collect information according to its own privacy policy. For example, Apple and Google process download, purchase, and device-related information independently of us.
If platform features such as Game Center or Google Play Games are enabled in a future version, those services may collect and process data under the platform provider’s terms. We will update this policy if that changes.
7. How we use information
We use information as follows:
- to save and display your local best score in the App;
- to show interstitial ads through Google AdMob at appropriate in-game moments;
- to operate and secure this Privacy Policy website;
- to respond to support or privacy requests you send to us.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your local best score stays on your device and is not shared with third parties.
When ads are displayed, Google AdMob may process device and usage information as described in Section 3. AdMob acts as an independent third-party service provider under Google’s privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights, users, or the security of the App and this website.
9. Data retention
- App data: kept on your device until you delete the App or clear app data.
- Advertising data: retained by Google/AdMob according to Google’s policies.
- Website logs: retained by Google/Firebase according to their policies.
- Support emails: kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
10. Children’s privacy
Island Jumps is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal contact information from children through the App.
Because the App shows third-party ads through Google AdMob, ad partners may collect device-related information as described above. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using the App, you can limit ad tracking through your device settings or contact us with questions.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Your local best score can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage in your device settings.
For data processed by Google AdMob, you may also use Google’s ad settings and the device controls listed in Section 3. If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law. Contact us at vladislav.shevchuck@gmail.com to exercise your rights with us.
12. International users
The App and this website may be accessed from different countries. Firebase/Google and Google AdMob may process data on servers located in various regions according to Google’s infrastructure and policies.
13. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information related to this website. App data stored locally on your device is protected by your device’s operating system security features.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
15. Contact
